32in24-7: Return of the Night of Capture the Flag is probably the most work I’ve ever done for a 32in24 project. The format of this 32in24 was the same as 32in24-6; have a layout team quickly make CTF maps without detail in 24 hours and then have a detailing team follow up behind them and detail up all of the maps as quickly and efficiently as possible. I contributed a whopping 3 layouts and 4 detail jobs (and yes, that is A LOT of work that I did in the amount of time it took to finish the entire wad). Only 2 of my layouts were used; however, I still have the unused layout. I also contributed some graphics; a new statusbar, new smallfont, and new bigfont…all specifically for this project.

Here’s that one layout that didn’t get used if anyone is interested in taking a look at it. Download it here. If you want to use it in some capacity, please ask me before hand. I may end up using it myself in the future and I don’t want two variants of the same layout floating around out there if I can help it.

Unfortunately, in hindsight, some of the graphics I contributed (namely the smallfont) turned out to be pretty horrible. No one at the time really noticed I guess, but nowadays the font makes it terribly difficult to read what happening in-game.

All of the hard work that everyone put into 32in24-7 paid off; it won ‘Best Multiplayer’ for the 2008 Cacowards. It was generally received very well within the multiplayer community.
